A CLEAR VISION

CHEROKEE COUNTY HAS A RICH AND VIBRANT HISTORY.
People with strong ties to and a deep love for the communities in which they live are coming together to create a vision that will drive the county’s future.

Cherokee County 2037: A Clear Vision will be a road map to make Cherokee County an even better place to live, work and play. It will take the things that make the county special and use them as the guide for what the county can be, identifying opportunities in a variety of areas to enhance the quality of life for current and future residents.

Why 2037?
Cherokee County is building a 17-year vision plan because 2037 is 140 years from when the county was formed from parts of Union, Spartanburg and York counties. When 2037 arrives, the community will be poised to look ahead one more decade to the 150th anniversary of Cherokee County’s founding.
